This orientation was designed to help new postgraduate students begin their studies with clarity, confidence and a sense of direction. Starting a master’s programme brings excitement alongside uncertainty, and the session addressed both by helping students understand what to expect, how to approach advanced study and how to make the most of the opportunities that a postgraduate journey offers, both academically and professionally.
Through interactive discussion and practical guidance, students explored goal setting, time management, effective learning habits and the importance of building a strong peer network. They were encouraged to think about the kind of professionals they wish to become and how their studies can support that vision. Students left the orientation feeling welcomed, motivated and equipped with a clear mindset and practical strategies for a productive and rewarding academic experience.
